Since starting the SPD Blogger Network last month, I am happy to report we have 19 members and counting!
These bloggers are providing the SPD community something very special: Personal connection and emotional support -- not to mention resources sharing and practical solutions to living with a SPD kiddo! Reading about someone else's journey gives us all those "That is just like my life!" moments and allows us to feel less isolated, and more connected to those around us.
To honor the start of the SPD Blogger Network, which began on April 30th, 2010, I am going to begin a SPD Blog Carnival at the end of each month.
If you don't know what a Blog Carnival is, click here to read the definition.
I would love to have all of you join! This is an amazing way to take the best of the best from the SPD Blogging Community every month, and publish it in one location -- kind of like having a monthly 'magazine' that people can come to and read. Everyone of you that reads this (even you lurkers!) can participate -- you DO NOT have to be part of the SPD Blogger Network to participate in the carnival. (But, if you blog about SPD, please consider joining because we would love to have you!)
This month's theme is Sensory Processing Disorder. Anything you have posted, in the last month, whether that be tips, an interview, a rant, or an emotional triumph -- whatever it is that you would like to share about SPD please leave your link below. The permanent link to this post, and all monthly Carnivals will be kept under the "SPD Blog Carnivals" tab at the top.
I also encourage you to check out the other links -- explore other blogs and learn more about what the SPD journey is like for families all over the world!
If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
Now link up!

Great idea! I'm happy to participate.
Love it! My blog is about my life in general as well as my life with my 6 year old son who has SPD. I'm looking forward to connecting with other mamas!
I love being part of a community. It makes you feel so much stronger just being with people that you know understand what your going through. My blog is about the journey that my 2 1/2 year old son goes through on a daily basis and the struggles of caring for him.
Great way to centralize access to our collective knowledge and experience Hartley! I hope folks enjoy the easy and fun sensory activities in my Carnival link, and I can't wait to check out all the other contributions!

Hartley, thank you so much for organizing the SPD Blogger Network, and coming up with fun ideas to keep us active and brought together!
I blog about our journey with our 6yr old who has SPD. For this carnival, I linked to a post about looking back to his toddler years, early symptoms of SPD, and when I started thinking something was "off."
Thank you a million times over for doing this - I'm so lucky to have found all these amazing people sharing our struggles!
My blog post is how we went out of our comfort zone and attended a live music concert with our 3 boys...and survived! Can't wait to read everyone else's posts.
Great idea - thanks for hosting
Love it and I am really glad you found me and I found u through that!
Now I am off to read the other blogs in the carnival
Thanks for hosting the carnival and the network Hartley! I have found such a great wealth of information and support through blogging. I'm excited to be a part of this community:)
Another Great idea, Hartley. The posts of these amazing 'sensational' caregivers will help so much.

Hi all,
THANK YOU for posting -- I even added my "Sensory vs. Behavior" post for this month's carnival. So happy to have all of you out there advocating for SPD through your own personal stories.
You are all awesome!
Hartley
Found your blog, wanted to say hi. I have a 7-year-old, Max, who has cerebral palsy and sensory issues—I've written a lot about how noise makes Max wig out. You are an awesome mom, it is good to know you!
My first blog carnival! And what a great topic. Looking forward to reading everyone's posts and getting to know you!
I love Blog Carnivals Hartley. I actually have one that happened recently, it'll be more of a rant. As soon as I write it, I'll be back and link up.
Another great idea Hartley. I even wrote a post especially for it.
It's so good to see links from all around the community. I'll be following a lot of these back to see what other pearls of wisdom I've been missing.
I'm working on my post right now... It's almost finished... I think! :) Thanks for connecting all of us!
I love reading all of these posts. Thank you for organizing a place for everyone to share information.

WOW what a community of bloggers all about SPD we have...
Thanks Hartley for getting us connected~!
I love what you are doing. I posted the recent article I published at www.ourjourneythruautism.com featured by Mamapedia this month entitled, What is Sensory Processing Disorder?
Enjoy!!
My post is more of a description...hope you all enjoy it.
Sharing information increases the chance all our sensory sensitive family members will be better understood. My daughter and grandchild deal every day with sensory issues. My blog posts about Special Needs issues deal often with Sensory Processing Disorder.
Hi Hartley! This is such a great idea! I'm looking forward to sharing our journey, as well as learning from the journey of others!
Blog Carnival? Fantastic. I'm delighted to be a part of it. :)
Thanks Hartley! I didn't think I qualified for the SPD network since my posts are all over the place- makeup, drinks, food, and a little SPD thrown in... but I definitely qualify for your carnival!

What a great idea!
This is great and very excited. I would love to be a part of this.
I have a little girl with SPD, and I would love to participate! I currently write a blog about our experiences (oursocalledlife.blog.com). Unfortunately, my google account does not link to it. I did not have success following your link. But, SPD has been a journey. I am a special education teacher, and I have still learned a lot, having a child with this disability.
