Sensory Download

TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE
(sorry)

The Sensory Accommodation Suggestions Page is a tool for parents, caregivers, teachers and therapists who are involved in helping meet the needs of a child with Sensory Processing Disorder in the classroom.

I have personally used most of the nearly 100 accommodations for my own child, and am often emailing or posting these ideas for my readers, support group members, or friends.

This download is an easy way to share with your child's school or teacher what kinds of accommodations would benefit them specifically.

Please let me know how it works by leaving comments below.

Thanks,
Hartley

Disclaimer:  The Sensory Accommodation Suggestions Page (SASP) download is designed to provide an easy way for families and caregivers of children who experience Sensory difficulties at school to better communicate the needs of their child to their child’s school for the purpose of a 504 or IEP meeting. Only your child’s school can determine if your child qualifies for an IEP or a 504. Although the SASP has been screened by our family’s Occupational Therapist Kelly Flemetakis, OTR/L, who has worked extensively with children with sensory issues, it is provided to you as a courtesy from one parent to another and in no way constitutes medical advice. As always, it is important to speak with your child’s doctor or Occupational Therapist when determining what therapies will be most beneficial to your child. By downloading this document, you agree to hold both Hartley Steiner and Kelly Flemetakis free from any liability.  By providing your email address, you consent to receiving emails from HLW3B.

This checklist is going to help me out tremendously. I hope my sons teacher will be more receptive this time around. She's been difficult thus far! Praying this helps!

I was unable to download the form. The page says "form suspended." Is there another way to get this form?

I have had the same problem as Kate. I'd love to get this as my son is being assessed in the next few weeks through school and then it is on to the CSE meeting...

I am about to enroll my SPD toddler into school and came upon your website while looking for info to give the teacher. I want to check out your Sensory Download but it says it needs to be "reactivated"

I am wondering if the "Sensory Download", that is temporarily unavailable, might become available anytime soon? I would very much like to get a copy please.

Thank you for your consideration.

Hello,

I just discovered you blog this evenig.

My 8-year old was finally diagnosed this summer with SPD. Just started 2 weeks ago in public school (after a whirlwind spring and first week of the new school year "auditioning" at several private schools in the area). His IEP meeting is in a couple weeks and I was trying to read the list of IEP/505 Sensory Accommodations Suggestions, but it is disabled. Is it possible to get a copy of that list. That would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Could you email me the sensory accommodations (rwpayne4@yahoo.com)? The website shows it is "disabled", and I am in great need of this for my son (a "failing" kindergartner due to undiagnosed SPD). The school is not familiar with SPD (I haven't been until now), and I need this for our 504 meeting in January. Thank you!!!
